about
VISRA / Shinji Viscera is an upcoming DJ/artist from the North East of England - Newcastle Upon Tyne.
His DJ journey began in 2018 with no prior technical knowledge as he was enthusiastic about reviving alternative/industrial events in the city which had died along with the venue he used to attend regularly around 2014.
HELLBOURNE was the first club event he founded. With the help of his fiance, INSURGENCE and NightbreedNCL followed afterwards as time passed. His passion for interacting with music and reinvigorating the local scene grew more and more, diving head first into unfamiliar territory with a D.I.Y spirit.
Eventually he knew that he wanted to explore what he'd missed in the last decade of his life in other cities where the alternative scene is thriving, making new friends, always seeking to create something new, collaborating in the community. Which leads us to now.
"I never thought I would be able to write music, let alone playing a guest DJ slot. I have no prior music theory knowledge. Like most, I already loved music, a lot of my idea's comes from intuition and perturbed, contradictive feelings, duality has always been an invisible force in my life.
I'm grateful for all the friends and experiences that I've encountered so far, as someone who is a misfit, which I'm sure some of you out there can relate.
So, yeah, this is my first track as VISRA / Shinji Viscera - The Inevitable End.
I feel like it's a bit of foreshadowing on my part, the lyrics came naturally as they were already thoughts I had internally stored.
I look forward to becoming a better DJ/Producer/Artist as I continue this journey. I'm happy to call this my first song. It may not be perfect, but that's okay.
My inspirations for this was Ambassador21, Industrial/EBM, Early Darkcore, Enzyme Records"
Hope you enjoy it!

lyrics
Lyrics:
I see where it all began
with pain, a desperate plan.
Delusions to control myself
To see through, my own hell.
If you know what's best then stay back
Trauma is the mind about to crack
It's a surprise I'm still intact
Could never be the one to deal with that
A mask to stay the course
An act of no remorse.
Know that I must persist!
Or else, l always give in!
If you know what's best then stay back
Trauma is the mind about to crack
It's a surprise I'm still intact
Could never be the one to deal with that.
Can't believe I'm standing, still.
Was so sure I lost my will.
Can't believe I'm standing, still.
Was so sure I lost my will
